Classic car restoration, antique car restoration, special interest car restoration -- it has been my life's passion since I was a teenager. My first car was a Model A Ford that I bought when I was 14-years-old. I restored it in 9-months. I then bought another one, restored it and sold it. A business was born. I continued to restore cars to pay for my education at Colorado State University. Today I hold a license to do just about anything, but I choose to live my passion everyday: restoring old cars. Over 30 years have passed and we have had the pleasure to restore cars of such makes as Auburns, Cords, Duesenbergs, Packards, Cadillacs, Lincolns, Bentleys, and Stutzs. Although most of the cars we have restored are in the classic era, we have also restored Muscle cars, Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Jaguars, Mercedes Benzs, MGs, and Austin Healeys. Feel free to give me a call. I am always happy to discuss your project. Even if I do not restore your car, I am happy to send you in the right direction.

Welcome to our old car blog. We’ll discuss anything that has to do with cars and the restoration of cars. I’ve been restoring cars for over 30 years, and have been in all facets of the business. Ask any questions and we’ll see where it goes.
I just back from another Pebble Beach experience. I say this because it is like no other car show. That means it is good and bad at the same time. The cars were very good for the most part, but I certainly do with out the crowds and all that pomp and circumstance.
We took a 1937 Packard 1507 Coupe. I did not even think we would get invited. It is just a coupe after all. But we went and surprisingly got second place behind a supercharged Murphy Duesenberg sedan with a complete RM restoration — after receiving 3 first place awards in a row, we received a second place, but no complaints here. The judges judged the class right.
Just a thought on judging at Pebble. I have experience in only the American Classics, but I have to say that I think the judging there is very good. I do not see the biases that some people talk about. It is not fixed or rigged. The best car wins its class every time. It is a concourse show and the most exotic and beautiful bodies are going to get the nod for first when you have multiple cars with 100 points. Everyone knows this going in. The judges I have had have been very knowledgeable in each marquee’s technical points and I have had judges come up to me after the show and tell me about what they thought about the cars we restored. I have been to every major many times, and this only happens at Pebble to me.
Overall, a great experience. Everyone should try and go at least once.
